Shopwizard is a trading brand of Wizardtec Ltd, registered in England & Wales. Wizardtec Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described below and is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). The nominated Data Controller is Martin Hawthorne (mlhbuy@gmail.com). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR. What data we collect

Your email address (to create an account, or when you request a report by email)
A hashed version of your password — we never store your actual password
Assessment results and area searches you run, including the postcodes and property sizes you search for
Payment confirmation from Stripe (we never see or store card details)

How we use your data

To provide the Shopwizard service and manage your account and credits
To store your assessment history so you can review past results
To send you a report or search results by email when you ask us to
Where you have explicitly opted in, to share your details with property-related third parties such as commercial agents, surveyors and landlords (see below)

Sharing your details with property-related third parties (optional)

This only happens if you tick the opt-in box. When you register, or request search results or a report by email, you may choose to have your details shared with property-related third parties — such as commercial agents, surveyors and landlords — who operate in or serve the areas you are interested in.

If you opt in, we may share your name, email, and the details of your search (location and size requirements) with one or more relevant property-related third parties, who may contact you about available properties or services. The legal basis for this is your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing privacy@shopwizard.app, and we will stop sharing your details going forward.

If you do not tick the opt-in box, we will not share your details with any third party. You can still use the service and receive your results.

What we never do

We never share your data with advertisers
We never share your details with third parties unless you have explicitly opted in
We never store card details — Stripe handles all payments
We never sell account login data, passwords, or assessment content

Data storage

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted in the EU/UK. We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.

Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Enquiry details shared with third parties are retained for our records for up to 24 months. You can request deletion at any time.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to withdraw consent for third-party sharing at any time. Email privacy@shopwizard.app. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

Shopwizard uses no advertising or tracking cookies. We use a single session token (stored in your browser's localStorage) to keep you logged in.
